3 Effectively Inspiring Ways to Motivate Children to Love Learning

Congratulations for making your way here to this page. You are about to learn the 3 proven ways to motivate children to learn. This is one of the topics that I researched for in my Masters of Education program. Yet, you get to quickly learn these 3 ways right now.

No more children being frustrated or disinterested in learning. No more failure to learn from your children again.

They say to be motivated to learn is to do something that you love. Yet, there are 3 things that you could do to instill this same motivation to all learning.

1. Adopt a Supportive Motivating Style
This style is characterised by you:
a) Taking on your children's perspective,
b) Welcoming children's thoughts, feelings and actions,
c) Nurturing children's inner motivational resources,
d) Providing explanatory rationales,
e) Relying on non-controlling informational language,
f) Displaying patience to allow time for self-paced learning, and
g) Acknowledging and accepting expressions of negative affect.

2. Use Appropriate Tangible Rewards
For tangible rewards to be effective, they need to have the following:
a) Children must expect to get the reward,
b) It is task-dependent,
c) It is given for performing at a high level, and
d) The rewards are related to the desired behaviours.

3. Use Appropriate Verbal Rewards
The most effective form of verbal rewards is to give:
a) Feedback on children's effort, and
b) Feedback on children's ability.

If you remember back to your school days and think about your favourite teachers, chances are these teachers were effective because they have in their repertoire these three tools. As a parent, you too, can be your children's effective teacher by using these three proven methods.

Start right now. You can learn these techniques yourself or join me when I release my Motivated Learning ebook or program. I will take you through the different types of motivation with in-depth details on how to use each of the 3 ways described above, in structured excercises.
